  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups flour
  • oil
  • corn meal
  • melted butter

  • Place yeast, water, sugar, and salt together in a bowl and stir until dissolved.
  • Add flour and stir until blended (do not knead). Cover with towel and let rise one hour or until doubled in size. Flour your hands, and divide the dough evenly into two rounds. Place on an oiled baking sheet that has been sprinkled with corn meal. *You can also put each of the rounds in a pie dish that has been oiled and sprinkled with corn meal. Let rise for another hour.
  • Preheat oven to 425. Place bread in the oven and bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Remove bread and gently brush melted butter over the tops. Reduce oven heat to 375 and bake for another 10 minutes.
  • Brush tops with a little more melted butter and a sprinkle of sea salt. Slice and enjoy warm!
