These tasty little frozen treats are just what we all need this summer. After all, it’s almost JUNE!! Can you believe it? Which means I get to meet this little baby boy in almost three weeks. Eeeek! But it also means swim suit season is just around the corner. Eeeek, again!
Not to worry, these Peanut Butter Chocolate & Oreo Banana Pops are healthy (wink, wink). We’ve got our fruit-the banana, our protein- the peanut butter, and let’s just forget about our completely normal amount of sugar- chocolate AND Oreos.
You did hear me say bananas right? Yep, they’re healthy;)
I got the idea for these banana pops from the most recent Food Network Magazine. It features specialty frozen bananas covered in everything from every kind of nut, granola, dried fruits, milk chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, toffee, cinnamon and granola. The possibilities are endless with these.
Chocolate, peanut butter, and Oreos just happen to be three of my favorite things so I went with it!
All you need is some bananas, melted chocolate, peanut butter, crushed Oreos, and some wooden skewers. I cut my bananas in half to make smaller portions, but you can use a whole banana for one pop and just trim one end off.
Then just skewer, dip, and roll. Then pop ’em in the freezer.
My husband likes to eat them when they’re not completely frozen, so you can let them freeze or chill to your hearts content!
Wouldn’t a banana pop party be so fun this summer?
Peanut Butter Chocolate & Oreo Banana Pops
Ingredients
6 large bananas, peeled and cut in half
4 ounces chocolate for melting
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 tsp vegetable oil
12-14 Oreos crushed (as fine or as chunky as you want)
Instructions
wooden skewers (I trimmed mine down a bit since I cut my bananas in half and they were mini)
Microwave chocolate for about a minute until almost melted. Stir in peanut butter and microwave until chocolate and peanut butter is melted together (stirring every 15-20 seconds). Stir in vegetable oil.
Skewer the bananas then dip in the melted chocolate-peanut butter mixture.
Place crushed Oreos on a plate or shallow dish.
. Roll bananas in the crushed Oreos and place on a baking sheet or tray lined with wax paper. Place in freezer until frozen (or chilled to your taste).

These bananas look so yummy! I have got to try them. While my kids are adults now, I’m sure they are going to love these as much as little kids will. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
