Into the blender goes some pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, milk, cream, vanilla extract, agave nectar, and some ice. Hit the ice cream button on your blender and let it blend away.
The ice cream turns out pretty firm (like real ice cream) right after you blend it, it just melts pretty quickly. That’s why we like to pour it into cups or jars. We start with spoons and as it melts we just drink it up.
If you want it a little firmer just stick in the freezer for ten minutes or so or until you’re ready to serve it.

**you can use a regular blender to make this, just lend until smooth. It will be more like a shake than like ice cream.

Sounds delish! Here’s a little tip i’ve learned from making smoothies… buy a bunch of bananas (they are cheap enough) slice them, place on baking sheet, freeze and then place in baggy in freezer until ready to use. If you use frozen bananas there will be no need for ice which i think waters down the taste. The frozen bananas thicken up the smoothies so much that we have to eat with a spoon 🙂
wonder if this would freeze up in an Ice cream maker
Ooh that’s a great idea!!
