Happy FRIDAY! We’ve lived in San Diego for two years and there are still so many things we have wanted to do but NEVER done! Last weekend we finally hiked (okay more like walked) around Torrey Pines. It’s beautiful there! A fun family activity if you’re visiting San Diego for sure. There are miles of trails to walk around, right on the ocean’s edge. The views are incredible! And it really is perfect for kids.
Afterwards, just go down to the beach and play in the water!
We tried the Guy Flemming Trail, this is the first trail .5 miles past the park gate. You can drive up the hill to the trailhead and if you are lucky you can park on a patch of dirt just below the trail. This trail is .7 miles long and mostly flat. A good chunk of it is right along the coastal cliff. So easy for kids.
Seeing these pictures was the moment I realized Graham so desperately needed a haircut!

Miraculously, these two have been the best of friends lately. They bonded only having each other to play with over spring break. Both had maps and directed us where to go.
And just a few more of life lately…
Now that it’s warming up we can’t stay away from the beach! I have a feeling it’s going to be a fun summer playing with Graham in the water. He’s fearless and crazy and loves getting bulldozed by the waves. And also loves being covered in sand. It took a while for the other two to get used to the sand everywhere. They still don’t like it on their hands. But Graham, he’s our beach baby through and through.
I took some family pictures for friends visiting a couple of weeks ago and snapped this pic of Miles. We got the car washed earlier in the day and he wanted to hold the free air freshener that came with it. And then wore it as a necklace the rest of the day :0 At least he smelled good!
He’s also recently learned what “hang loose” means…
Owen is obsessed with three things lately- soccer, basketball, and Legos. He started taking a little basketball class and looks forward to it every week. We need to get the kid a legit hoop (he only plays in the street supervised, don’t worry!)
Blurry + grainy but it’s baseball season! A family favorite is going to the Padres games. Really feeling like summer you guys. We’re ready!
