Remember The Chew? It’s back.
1. My house smells like Christmas. Already. I’m obsessed with this cinnamon nutmeg candle oil, and have it burning practically all day long.
2. But I can’t help it. I’m feeling the spirit of Christmas early this year. Brett came home to my favorite Pandora Christmas Station blaring through the house last night and he just gave me the “Really? Already” look. Might have to keep that one to my day time hours. I will wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate though….promise.
3. Speaking of Thanksgiving, we are doing a small “Friendsgiving” this year. I’m in charge of the rolls, the mashed potatoes, the stuffing, and a pie. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I’m not in charge of the bird. Still scares me. And since stuffing might just be my favorite part of Thanksgiving I’m on the hunt for a good homemade recipe (because I’ve never even made it before). Got any good ones?
4. Yesterday I did this 100’s workout. And this morning I did this one, then ran a couple of miles. Now I can hardly walk up my stairs.
5. My child refuses to keep his clothes on, particularly his pants. He slithers right out of ’em with his shoes on. But my husband thinks it should be the new “norm” at our house. Kidding guys.
6. I need a good book to read. Suggestions? Ready….go!
7. I also need this. ASAP.

Ah! The cinnamon nutmeg sounds like it would smell so yummy! Thanks for sharing!
I cant wait to start decorating here at my moms house! And I cant wait for my little one Sadie to see all the christmas lights on the houses and the TREE@! 🙂 anxious to see what she will do or think…pull off the ornaments I am sure!
Your little boy is too cute!! She has yet to take off her clothes! I am sure that one is coming tho!
And ah, today I just got back to working out. I rollerbladed for 45 minutes with Sadie and then I was doing some crunches (havent done in like FOREVER) and used my daughter as a weight also when I did them! She weighs I wanna say 17 lbs or so tiny little thing still and wow I am sure I will feel it tomorrow. She got a kick out of it!
A good book!? I dont read much but I bought Ellen’s new book “Seriously, just Kidding” or something like that and read it on my iphone. SUCH a good book. I laughed pretty much almost every page! Its worth it!
and my gosh, did you have to post that picture of the PB cake!? haha looks YUMMY!

Read Matched, by Ally Condie. It’s Hunger Games-ish without all the blood and violence. The second book in the trilogy, Crossed, just came out. Definitely some good reads!
Thanks for the 100 workout … definitely going to have to try that one … and then eat some peanut butter sheet cake afterwards 🙂

Love that Owen hates pants! I do too these days. And what the heck?! That tasty kitchen peanut butter cake picture is mine! That chick stole it. http://www.the-girl-who-ate-everything.com/2010/03/how-you-can-get-pregnant-from-eating.html

Hi Kristy! I LOVE this blog. I hardly ever comment because … I’m a lurker … But I’m in a chatty mood this morning. I can’t wait to try those workouts! They sound ridiculous. What is the difference between a pushup and a shoulder pushup? As far as reads … Just finished Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand. Funny and wonderful. Another favorite is Mao’s Last Dancer. Last year my book club read The Robe and it was a perfect way to get in the holiday spirit.
Kristy {Sweet Treats and More} says
@jill, the tree should be fun for our little guy too! Rollerblading sounds so fun….if only I still had a pair and it was warmer here in Utah!! Thanks for the book suggestion!

The picture of your son is too cute. I think that a lot of little kids go through that stage. I use the stuffing recipe from The Joy of Cooking.

I hate stuffing….but I feel like this looks SO GOOD.

Please make it and let me know if it will make me a stuffing convert. 🙂
