‘Tis the season for cookies and cocoa, baking ’til midnight, and gaining a few pounds right?! Right. My stretchy pants are already on. I’ll probably wear them all month long;)
But really, I love this time of year! I love to be in the kitchen baking cookies and making holiday treats for family and friends, holiday parties or dinners. Or just for me, for the fun of it. I live for snowy December days, lounging in my comfy sweats, and baking to a little holiday mix up on Pandora.
Tis the season my friends. And today some fabulous bloggers and I are kicking it off with some Christmas Baking with Hershey Kisses & Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Raise your hand if you like chocolate?? {my hand is up high!}
While my friends all decided to bake, I blended up a little frozen treat for us–Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Hot Chocolate! Frozen hot chocolate gets a dose of peanut butter with some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups all melted together and blended into this frozen drink.
Chocolate is always better with peanut butter, and this practically tastes like a chocolate peanut butter shake. I’ve never had the infamous Frozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity in New York City, but this peanut buttery version might put up a good fight!
Enjoy this quick and easy frozen treat this Holiday season!
- 12 Hershey's Miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (plus 1 extra for topping)
- 1 tbsp hot chocolate mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 3 cups ice
- Whipping Cream
- Melt the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until melted.
- Stir in hot chocolate mix and sugar and stir until blended and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and slowly whisk in milk.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into a blender. Add heavy cream and ice and blend until smooth and frothy.
- Serve with whipped cream and chopped pieces of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
