Any one else’s pants feeling a bit snug? I have enjoyed myself a little too much while here at my parents’ house. I’ve been drowning in sugar, surrounded by irrestistable foods 24 hours a day, and done some serious damage at a few restaurants in town. Don’t ya just love being home for the Holidays?
Shrimp boil on Christmas Eve.
Fresh guacamole and pico de gallo readily available for snacking…
Peppermint Bark Chocolate Fudge Cookies for Santa. So good Santa didn’t even leave crumbs.
My dad’s macaroons…
Irresistable big, soft cinnamon rolls…
Not to mention:
Mom’s rice pudding
Homemade chocolate decadent ice cream
Home made triple berry sorbet (oh yes, I got an ice cream/frozen yogurt maker for Christmas)
Delicous Mexican Food, Calzones from an Italian Bistro, and more Mexican food.
And now, I am ready to ring in the New Year with my husband’s family in Denver, Co. I’ll see you in another 10 lbs;)

I’m feeling so sluggish!!! Yay, for salads.
Holly says
aww your grandma is adorable!!!
Merut says
I haven’t checked the scale – I’m too afraid. I need to eat more salads. Your grandma looks like she’s taken charge of the kitchen!
Christy {The Girl Who Ate Everything} says
I know you probably are not ten pounds heavier you skinny thing. I literally am 10 pounds heavier. No joke. Checked the scale. I am hoping at least 5 lbs is water weight.
MuncherCruncher says
I hear ya girl. Why is it that EVERY thing we do revolves around food?? I just helped my mom throw away more than half of the crap her neighbors have given her that was on the counter!

and yes… 10 lbs is an understatement!
