This week I’m bringing you seven days of sweets just for Valentine’s Day. A few of my favorite bloggers are joining me and will be sharing a special treat for the special day of love. I love Valentine’s Day! Brett and I usually celebrate with a date-night-in after the kids are in bed; we make dinner together, rent a movie (or sometimes watch our wedding video- I know, a little cheesy), and we always enjoy a special treat.
Cake batter is all the rage right now, and I’ve seen a lot of cake batter rice krispie treats floating around but had yet to see the use of strawberry cake batter. Drizzled with some white chocolate and covered with festive sprinkles these Strawberry Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats are one treat everyone will love on Valentine’s Day! (And just about the easiest and quickest treats to make!)

Strawberry Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
1 (16 oz) bag Marshmallows
3 1/2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup Pillsbury Strawberry Cake Mix
5-6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
white chocolate or almond bark for drizzling
pink and red Valentine sprinkles

Directions
Melt marshmallows, butter, and vanilla in a large pot over medium heat. Stir in cake mix when marshmallows are almost completely melted. Stir until smooth.
Gently mix in Rice Krispie Cereal and press into a lightly greased 9 X 13 inch pan. Drizzle white chocolate over the top and sprinkle with pink and red Valentine sprinkles.by Sweet Treats & More

I made these today and decorated with red and white Valentine’s sprinkles. They turned out cute, but weren’t nearly as pink as the picture, even after adding a drop of red food coloring to the marshmallow mixture. Everybody loved them anyway. Happy Valentine’s Day! :))
just to clarify, do you make the cake batter or add it dry?
