Sometimes you just need a really simple, really quick treat to whip up. As simple as one bowl and a microwave.
These Apple Cinnamon Cheerio Treats are perfect to make for an after school snack for the kiddos, great for an upcoming Halloween party, or treat to go Boo! your neighbors with.
Everyone loves a gooey marshmallow treat! These gooey treats have the apple-cinnamon flavor of fall we all love with chunks of tart dried apple in them too.
Like I said, a really simple, really easy one bowl treat of gooey goodness.
Apple Cinnamon Cheerio Treats
Ingredients
6 cups Apple Cinnamon Cheerios
3 tbs butter
1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
1 cup dried apple pieces, chopped
Instructions
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and marshmallows together by microwaving on high for 1 1/2- 2 minutes, or until smooth (stirring after 45 seconds.)
Gently stir in cheerios and apple pieces. Spread into a 9 X 13 inch pan. (I like to spray the pan and the spatula I’m using (or my hands) with Pam to prevent sticking). Let cool, cut into squares and serve.
I love the addition of the apple pieces. I could go for a whole pan of these right now!!
