I’m not sure what it is about being pregnant, but I either crave salty foods or sour, citrus-y foods. Lately, it’s the citrus stuff I can’t get enough of. So I’ve been buying absurd amounts of grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, lemons, and limes. Sometimes, I even slice into those lemons and limes and just suck on a wedge or two to satisfy the craving. Weird, no?
Don’t worry, you don’t have to be pregnant to enjoy this Broiled Grapefruit though. We had it over the weekend for breakfast and the hubby raved about it. It’s something I’d seen before but I guess it just took being pregnant to get me to try it. I’m so glad I did.
This just takes a few minutes to prepare and only needs a few minutes to broil in the oven. Just sprinkle some brown sugar and cinnamon over each half of the grapefruit and broil for a few minutes.

Kristy, this looks amazing! I ate about 10lbs of grapefruit a week when I was pregnant…and miraculously I still love it. I’ve never thought to broil it – you are a genius.
