Made these for dinner last night. Let me tell you, I am winning with the low-carb eating husband right now. Knocked his socks off!
I think I’ve mentioned it before, but my husband is a wing (as in chicken wings) man. I was never a wing girl until I met him (and his entire family who loves wings). They have this wing place in Denver we hit up every time we go visit. Delicious…but probably clogging the arteries.
These are a much better option with the same old flavor and kick. A few of these wraps with a side of carrot stick fries (recipe later), and we had ourselves a fiery and wingy kind of meal.
Buffalo Wing Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground turkey
1/2 cup onion, chopped
3/4 cup carrot shavings (I used a peeler to make shavings)
1 cup celery, chopped
1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves removed to form cups
salt and pepper
1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot (or your choice of Wing Sauce–use more if you like it saucier)
Bleu cheese crumbles or bleu cheese dressing to drizzle over the top
Instructions
In a large skillet, saute the onions over medium heat until golden (3-4 minutes). Add ground turkey, season with a dash of salt and pepper, brown meat and cook until cooked through. Drain any grease if necessary.
Return to pan and stir in Frank’s Red Hot or other Wing Sauce. Reduce heat to low.
Prepare lettuce cups. Place spoonful of meat into lettuce cup, top with a few carrot shavings and chopped celery. Drizzle with Litehouse Bleu Cheese Vinaigrette. Wrap and enjoy!

*** I found this Litehouse Bleu Cheese Vinaigrette at the store yesterday and we loved it! You only need a tiny drizzle.

Perfect! I love this idea…I sometimes will eat a Hamburger using lettuce leaves as the “bun”.
Thanks so much for sharing! * I would love for you to link it up to “Made it on Monday” ๐

It’s called Wingman! There’s one in Northglenn but when we were there over Christmas it was closed for renovation. The other location is in Brighton! Do try!!
