Carlsbad Strawberry Patch

Yesterday we headed to the strawberry patch in Carlsbad for a little family outing with friends! We drove over thirty minutes to get there, the boys filled their bucket up in under ten minutes, and the strawberries were nearly gone by the time we got home, ha! But we all had fun doing it and just enjoyed sitting around together eating strawberries afterward. They were soooo good it was worth it! Messy too, but worth it:) If you’re in San Diego visit the Carlsbad Strawberry Company. It’s a fun family activity and just miles from the beach. You pay by the bucket and anyone over 5 years old needs to buy a ticket to get in. 

I’m trying to be better at documenting life with this little family of mine, so I brought my camera along and snapped away. I had no idea my boys liked strawberries so much. I mean, I buy them all the time and they don’t go crazy for them like they did here. Each of them had red-stained hands, shirts, and faces by the time we left. 

I can’t even stand how big my boys look. It’s like I don’t really realize it until I see pictures of them. Then they look huge! 

Graham probably smashed a dozen strawberries trying to pick them all by himself ???? 

 

Clearly O is excited about the haul. $20/bucket so we only got one. Wishing we would have bought more! So many yummy strawberry things I want to make!!!

He was covered in strawberries by the end. And obsessed with holding the bucket and really didn’t like sharing. Little strawberry monster.
