Tuesday we celebrated this big boy’s FOURTH birthday! I was feeling terrible because I didn’t plan anything for him (his birthday kind of snuck up on me this year) But Miles was the happiest boy on his birthday and so easy going. Well, a little bossy, but happy to play with is brothers and a few friends. I told him he could be the boss for the day and we’d do whatever he wanted, and he loved that. Owen was so great about letting him be in charge and be the first to do things, etc. Miles was in heaven.
I woke up early and decided to make Funfetti Birthday Cake Cinnamon Rolls. OMG These are soooo good! Miles was licking the icing off of the candle before we even sang to him. He’s always loved the frosting the most. Just like me.
It took a little convincing, but he finally took a bite of the cinnamon roll and devoured it from there (wish I would have saved that snapchat video of him going to town!) Graham on the other hand just went for it….haha!
After his birthday breakfast and playing with friends, Brett snuck away from work early to go to Legoland for a few hours in the evening. This was the highlight of his day! It might not look like it, but it was.
A few things to know about Mr. Miles:
♥ He loves Legos.
♥ Loves pizza, cheese crackers, cantaloupe, cheesy eggs, and frosting. He prefers cookie dough over actual cookies. Side note–have you seen/tried Hampton Creek’s Cookie Just Cookie Dough???? Dying to try it and find it. It’s a new hamptoncreek product (we love their stuff!) and I’m determined to find it just for Miles 🙂
♥ Owen is his best friend. He wants to do anything Owen is doing and wants to play with him always. It’s the cutest thing. The night before his birthday he picked out his clothes and slept in them so he’d be ready for his birthday as soon as he woke up. Everything he wore was Owen’s!!!
♥ He gives the biggest and best hugs and loves to snuggle. Hope that never changes!
♥ He has the best, most genuine smile! He earned the nickname Miles Smiles as a baby and we’ll always call him that!
Get the recipe for the Birthday Cake Cinnamon Rolls here. My friend Analise made these for Betty Crocker’s site. I just used a Betty Crocker Rainbow Chip Cake mix + Frosting instead of a yellow cake mix. They are the easiest cinnamon rolls I’ve ever ever made. And I tried soooo hard not to eat one, but failed by the end of the day. I had to know how good they were 🙂
Happiest Birthday do our Miles boy. We love you!
