I love football parties. Saturday BYU played Tulane in New Orleans, so some of the wives got together to watch the game. What’s a football party without great food?? My contribution was one of my favs, Tortilla Pinwheels.
Tortilla Pinwheels
1 80z package of cream cheese, soft
1 80z package of sour cream
1 40z can diced green chiles, drained
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. chopped onion (option)
1/2 c. diced black olives (optional)
Garlic salt to taste
5 (10″) flour tortillas
Blend cream cheese and sour cream together in medium bowl. Stir in diced green chiles, cheese, and garlic salt. (I’m not a fan of onions or black olives, so I leave them out!)
Spread evenly over tortillas; roll up tortillas. Cover tightly with plastic wrap, twisting ends; refrigerate for a couple of hours. Unwrap; cut in slices 1/2 in. to 3/4 in. thick. Discard ends. Lay pinwheels flat on serving dish and serve! I like to serve with salsa!
**For variety, use spinach tortillas, whole wheat tortillas.
