Ever have those days when at breakfast you’re already thinking about dinner? And know exactly what you want? Then you can’t stop thinking about it all day long and can’t wait for dinner time to roll around? I had one of those days last week and pizza was on my brain at breakfast…and the rest of the day.
Even though I usually make our favorite Margherita Pizza I decided to use up the absurd amount of zucchini our neighbors have given us and make a chicken and zucchini pizza.
It had potential to be healthy-ish (as healthy as pizza can get) but then I went and drenched the darn crust in garlic butter. Yeah-garlic butter.
Oh but it was good.
It kinda tasted like the garlic butter dipping sauce from Papa John’s. Except you don’t have to dip over and over, you just get that garlicy-butta taste in every bite.
To save on time I picked up some pre-made dough from our favorite little pizza joint. Then just rolled it out and slathered on the butter.
Next time you’ve got pizza on the brain at breakfast, make this one.
I love this idea!
What a great way to use up some zucchini! It certainly looks like some tasty eats. I’ll have to give it a try. ๐
Love the idea of garlic butter ! And zucchini topping – genius!
So funny you posted this, our friends just gave us a pizza stone. I will be making this soon!! Thanks!
Oooh fun! Hope you like the pizza:)
Yum! This sounds wonderful!
We love pizza – and have it every Friday night. I am always on the lookout for new ideas! Pinned ๐
This sounds amazing! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Anyone using the canned Pilsbury pizza dough- 500* at 8 minutes is way more than enough time. Lesson learned. lol
