The husband is finally home, but apparently a week of work in the Big Apple wears one out. I wouldn’t know. I’ve never been. I’ll tell you what though, a week at home alone with an almost toddler wears one out too, more mentally than anything.
So while Brett is napping recovering this afternoon, I’ll be adding home made granola to my repertoire. I got all the goods from Good Earth yesterday.

I didn’t know there were so many different kinds of oats. I’m talking spelt oats, rye oats, barley oats, oat bran, oat flakes, and lots of other fun stuff.
But I got ’em. And I’m about to get my granola on.
And later tonight, we have a nice little Sushi date planned. ‘Bout time. I have a serious love for sushi, and I’m in desperate need of a night out and some adult conversation.
I get the mental part totally. And it’s funny how they are exhausted from work but although it’s work it’s a break from the everyday for them. Glad he’s home…
I’ll tend Owen if you ever need a sitter! 🙂
I really love Ina Garten’s granola bar recipe. Granola is so versatile! Yum!
i love homemade granola and sushi! Hope you had a great date night!
This is great! I see some flax seeds in there. We had some for lunch with our oats. 🙂 So great to find you too! I am in Portland. 🙂 Hoping to catch up with you.
