Girls Night In with Dole

If you would have asked me what I thought would become of this blog when I first started blogging (over three years ago!) I wouldn’t have been able to tell you.  I had no clue.  Back then, it was just a place to store recipes.  It’s grown over the years, slowly, but surely.  And more recently I’ve done things for this blog and because of this blog that I never thought I’d do.  Like actually go to a food blog conference.  Or travel to Michigan just to make ice cream.    And work with brands that I love.  

Brands like Dole, who offered to host a girls night in for me and some girlfriends, to feed us and pamper us, and provide one of my favorite little summer treats! 

 Oh yes, I jumped at the opportunity! And we did what girls do best when we get together.  We ate.  We talked. Then ate some more.  We are just so good at talking and eating. 

 We had a handful of chick flicks picked out to watch, but opted for the Bachelorette, which was so much more entertaining.  Even if it was drawn out with lots of pausing and rewinding.  

It was great to just veg out and relax for an evening, and forget about the list of “to do’s” that I’m usually trying to tackle at night.  I don’t feel too bad about all of the chocolate covered frozen banana bites I ate either….

We even had some awesome Dole swag to pamper ourselves with.  But I was threatened not to post the pictures of us wearing them.  You can imagine how awesome we looked.
