This week’s Merry Monday ingredient isfudge.
Ohhhh fudge! I love you.
We leave for Colorado in a few days and I’ve got too much to do to ramble on about how good this fudge is. All you cookie dough lovers with l-o-v-e it!
Cookie Dough Fudge
Ingredients
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1 1/3 cups mini semisweet chocolate chips, divided
2 cups powdered sugar
1 (8ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla.
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine butter and brown sugar. Stir in flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in 1/3 cup chocolate chips. Form dough into ball. Place on waxed paper. Flatten dough into disk. Wrap in foil. Freeze for 10 minutes or until firm. Unwrap dough. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Refrigerate.
In large mixing bowl on low speed, beat powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt until mixed. Beat on medium until smooth, scraping sides with spatula while beating. melt remaining 1 cup chocolate chips in microwavable bowl on high for 1 minute. Stir. Melt for 30 seconds more or until completely melted. Add melted chocolate to cream cheese mixture. Stir with wooden spoon until completely blended. Stir in chilled cookie dough pieces. Spread evenly in buttered 8X8-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares. Store in refrigerator.
