I am back! The last week has been a little crazy with the move, but I am back, and just in time for March Madness and this Man Dip. We had a couple of friends over for the BYU game Saturday night and earlier in the day Brett requested Man Dip for the game.
Me: “What the heck is Man Dip?”
Brett: “I don’t even know, just everything good you can imagine in a dip. Meat, cheese, more meat.”
This was the first I had heard of the Man Dip, but apparently one of Brett’s coworkers brought it to a little Halo party some guys from work had. He called up his coworker and had me talk to his girlfriend to get the recipe.
All I can say is, ladies make your man-folk this dip for the next game you’re watching. They will devour it and will feel manly for doing so. There will be hovering, and you will likely hear grunting and groveling until the dip is licked clean. If you can squeeze through the huddle for a taste, you will probably like it too. We are tlking about man dip though, definitely not a calorie-friendly snack.
All you need is a can of chili, a can of rotel, velveeta cheese, plus ground hamburger and ground spicy Italian sausage (not pictured). “Meat, cheese, and more meat.” Brett wasn’t kidding. It’s so easy even the men can make it.
Just cook your meats, then throw everything into a crockpot until the cheese melts and it’s nice and warm. Serve with Frito chips and watch it vanish.
I got my taste before the men arrived.
From Dana…my husband’s coworker’s girlfriend:)
Happy March Madness! How are your brackets holding up? I didn’t even do one this year. But I love getting together with friends for the games.

“Man dip” certainly sounds like the right name for it. It is definitely making me hungry, but I’m sure my stomach would hate me for it.

Ooh I must try this. I posted a man dip recipe on my blog, but it’s got more ingredients and I didn’t care for it (although my husband bragged about it for weeks).

What is Rotel? (Paragraph above photo of cans.) And then in the recipe, you list ‘1 (10 oz) can (I used generic)’. What – tomatoes? Thanks.
