Happy FriYay friends! The weather right now is so great, I’m trying to get outside for more of my workouts! I just registered for the NYC half in March (it’s a lottery so fingers crossed I get in!) and I’m excited to run more + longer distance. But one workout I’m loving right now–HILL REPEATS! Short sprints uphill, over and over. Sounds fun right???
It’s actually torture. But hill sprints/jogs/walks are great for shaping the booty and thighs. Which is always what I’m working on ๐ We live just a couple of miles from Torrey Pines Reserve and there is a beast of a hill to hike to get to the trails at the top. It’s the perfect place to get repeats in.
A hill repeat workout for me looks like this…
Hill Repeats
warm up/jog for 10 minutes
sprint up hill for 50-100 meters / walk back down for recovery
repeat 8 times
rest for 10 minutes
repeat 3 times through
* the distance I make my sprints usually depends on how steep the hill is. the steeper it is, the shorter the distance. but you can sprint, jog, or even walk the hill. it’s ALL good!!
I’m also really loving these 66 Audio Bluetooth Headhpones.! Their the first wireless and bluetooth headphones I’ve had and they’re a game changer! I wear them to the gym as well as when I’m outside running or working out. I love how affordable they are (only $60)! You can control the music from the panel on the outside of the headphones, they stay on while running, and they’re pretty comfortable. I’ve never really loved ear buds so I love having these.
They’re designed for sport and fitness, and I love being able to tuck my phone in a pocket and not deal with wires dangling around while I workout. And they collapse so they’re easy-to-carry or drop in your bag–again, without the mess of wires!

Now tell me, what are you favorite workout tunes?! I need a new running playlist! I usually just listen to stations on Spotify. My little bro recommended this Fresh & Chill playlist and I’m loving it! But tell me your favorites!
