The Great Sand Dunes + a $17 Swimsuit

We are home we are home we are HOME! And it feels sooooooo good! We took a day to recover by not doing a thing yesterday + we are off to the beach again today. Trying to soak up the last few weeks of summer before school starts! 

Just thought I’d share some pictures from our day at the Great Sand Dunes last week. The tail end of our three week trek was spent with my parents in southern Colorado, and it wouldn’t be a trip home without a trip to the dunes! If you’re ever in southern Colorado you should visit!  I grew up going here with family and friends every summer. Hiking to the top, sledding down the dunes, and playing in the water. A little like a beach, hehe…..

We attempted to hike the dunes but didn’t get very far because the sand is hotter than hades, and just too hot for the littles with us. Brett of course ran to the tippy top because he likes to show everyone up (myself and a bunch of little boys, haha). 

Graham was so tired ↑↓ by the time we got to there, he was grumpy and didn’t want to play in the sand or the water. I walked around holding him until he fell asleep. Number three is always good at napping on the go, right? Poor baby, he was such a trooper during our trip. 

These cute kiddos (cousins + friends, but so many boys) had so much fun together. My poor niece was the only little girl, but she knows how to hang with the boys.

While Graham was sleeping Brett and I got to play around like little kids too. He’s my favorite person to be a goofball with!

I took a huge risk buying this suit! It’s only $17!! At that price I wasn’t sure if it would even survive the washing machine, haha. But it did, I wore it several times during our trip, and it’s held up. People keep asking where it’s from so I figured I’d link it here. Happy Wednesday friends!
