Oh you guys. This is the perfect little treat to make for you and your lovey dovey on Valentine’s Day! Or you can make it just for you:) This Chocolate M&M Skookie is rich, loaded with chocolate chips and M&M’s, a little bit like a cookie and a little bit like a cake. With a scoop of ice cream on top, it’s the perfect size for sharing with someone. So grab two spoons!
I got a skookie pan for Christmas from a friend but hadn’t used it. Then I saw Carrian’s Millionare Skookie and just ’bout died just looking at it. For a week I kept thinking about that skookie, so I decided to make my own. In an effort to retain self control, I decided to make just enough for one skookie.
The last couple of years Brett and I have stayed in for Valentine’s Day and made a special dinner together. It’s kind of become a tradition for us. Once the kiddos are in bed we turn on some music, and have a nice relaxing evening cooking dinner, watch a movie together, and enjoy dessert. And I think this will be the dessert of choice this year. I imagine Brett will take one bite and I’ll get to eat the rest!
Use the Valentine M&M’s to add a pop of Valentine color to your skookie for Valentine’s Day. And any other day you want to make it just use regular M&M’s or just stick with the chocolate chips!
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/8 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp baking powder
- pinch salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
- Valentine M&M's (optional)
- 1 skookie pan
- Vanilla ice cream
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugars. Whisk in egg, butter, and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into a skookie pan. Press M&M's over the top. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Remove and serve with a scoop of ice cream.

Thank you. I’m looking forward to trying. I have 4 skookie pans that I haven’t used in years.

How cute! I have never heard of a skookie pan, but I have a small cast iron pan, maybe I can work that with. Thanks for the great idea, I really enjoy your blog.

where do I find a skookie pan ?
Kristy says
I’ve seen them at wal-mart and target, or amazon, or any cooking supply store I would think!

This is so cute, and there’s nothing better than a warm cookie topped with ice cream! What is it that makes the dough chocolate? I see the chocolate chips that are stirred in, but Is there cocoa powder as well?
Kristy says
Oh my goodness yes! Need to fix it, thanks!!

I omitted the cocoa and added another tablespoon of both flour and white sugar. It took almost 15 minutes to bake but was soft and delicious. Served it with ice cream and homemade hot fudge sauce. More than enough for two people. Thanks for this wonderful recipe.
