Do you guys have a candy jar at your house? Like, don’t alllll the cool moms have candy jars? I usually don’t. In fact, almost never. I can’t. I have no self control {and neither do my children} when there’s a jar full of sugar just sitting on my counter!
I mean……
Case. in. point.
BUT!!! It’s National Caramel Day today! And Werther’s Original sent us a goodie package full of caramels to celebrate! So I had to bust out the candy jar and fill it up with all the caramels! My grandma would be proud. Her candy jar was always filled with Werther’s (and so was the entire drawer of candy she kept full to the brim too). So while I usually keep our candy consumption to a minimum, having a candy jar full of caramels feels a little like having a piece of my grandma in my home!!!
Fun fact: there’s actually a national debate going on right now about the correct way to pronounce caramel. Is it “Ker-uh-muhl” or “Kar-muhl?” I’ve always said “Kar-muhl.” Caramel lovers nationwide can weigh in on the National Caramel Day debate today by sharing their preferred pronunciation with hashtags #GreatCaramelDebate, #NationalCaramelDay and #Werthers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Weigh in friends!! How do you say it?
And if you haven’t tried the new Werther’s Original Cocoa Crème Soft Caramels you’ve got to get your hands on some! That rich, creamy chocolate filling is everything! EVERYTHING! And I’ll always be a sucker for the hard candy originals , and love that they have sugar-free caramels too.
Now someone come HIDE this jar from me before I eat alllll of it! {In my head, I just said, “ker-uh-muhls.” Sounds weird. I’m sticking with “kahr-muhl” 😁 Sue me.
This post is brought to you in partnership with Werther’s Original! Thank you for supporting the brands we love!
