Hello! Happy Friday! I’m finally sharing our must-have Trader Joe’s items, that are all pretty healthy too! I wish I could link to items so you could see exactly what I’m talking about, but I took pictures of almost everything. Also, I included a PDF of everything in a shopping list you can download/print AND I have a fun video of one of our very favorite things to make using just three Trader Joe’s ingredients. Just keep reading and scrolling…..
Trader Joe’s is just 5 minutes from our house now, and right next to the gym I go to. So it’s really easy to run in and grab something when we’re out! They’re getting to know the boys and I really well over there. The other day a lady brought the boys Trader Joe’s t-shirts out from the back. They were way too big but the boys thought they were the greatest. We love TJ’s!
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Staples
Chili Lime Chicken Burgers- Brett and I eat these weekly! The boys don’t love them, they claim they’re too spicy. They’re not spicy–my boys think bbq sauce is spicy, lol.
Turkey Meatballs- These are fully cooked and really easy to heat up and eat plain or add to spaghetti. My boys love just eating them plain!
Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausage- (not pictured) I eat one of these with a side of veggies or salad regularly.
Frozen Sliced Bell Peppers – We love sautéing these and adding them to omelets or piling them on top of grilled chicken or burgers.
Sweet Potato Ribbons (found in refrigerator section)-Can’t tell you how much we love these! We sauté and serve with scrambled or fried eggs, or basically use them as a noodle substitute! They have butternut squash crinkles too, but I like the sweet potato ribbons better.
Toasted Coconut Pancake Mix- Okay, maybe not very healthy but this stuff is just good! The pancake mix has flakes of toasted coconut in it + tastes like something gourmet! Really love it for weekend breakfasts.
Organic Silver Dollar Pancakes- Graham could eat the entire bag of these in one morning if I let him. He wakes up asking for “panpakes” every morning! These are just SO easy. The boys also like their Frozen Multi-Grain Waffles.
Super seed Oatmeal + Rolled Oats- The super seed Oatmeal is really seedy, but I like it! I like to add a little bit of honey and almond butter or peanut butter (also good purchases at TJ’s). Their Rolled Oats are also a staple for us too.
Whole Wheat Pizza Dough- (not pictured) This has changed our Friday night pizza nights!!
Organic Brown Rice (in the freezer section)- Just quick and easy healthy whole grain for the fam.
Salsa Verde – I use this for my Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Chicken!
10 Minute Farro- I like this because it cooks quickly and like using something other than quinoa or brown rice sometimes!
Pesto & Quinoa Spread- Just tried this and it’s super yummy to spread over grilled chicken (or toasted baguette slices)
Snacky/Other Stuff:
Gone Bananas Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Slices- Bananas = healthy right? These things are SO good + so much better than the Dole Banana Dippers.
Multi-Grain Pita Chips- Just buy these so you can do some guilt free dipping!
Three Layer Hummus- Traditional, Cilantro Jalapeño, and Spicy Hummus all layered into one container. SO yum!
Quinoa & Black Bean Tortilla Chips- These are SO flavorful. And addicting!
Plantain Chips- (not pictured) but these are like a healthier potato chip? So good with salsa and guac! I lived off of these when I did whole30 over a year ago.
Fruit Bars– Love putting these in the boys’ lunches–just made with a mix of dried fruits!
Kind Bars- I always grab a few of these for me–they’re low in sugar and so good. My favorite is the
Just Mango Slices- These things taste like CANDY! Favorite beach snack 🙂
Parmesan Ranch Dressing- only 30 cals per serving in this! Used it in this SALAD!
Non Fat Honey Greek Yogurt- (not pictured) and I Just love this stuff.
Fresh Cut Mango Slices (pictured 2nd above)- I crave this sliced mango on the daily. Like a pregnant lady craving.
Cinnamon Schoolbook Cookies- fun for kids to eat and play with words!
Nuts, nuts, nuts- I buy different kinds of nuts every time I go, depending on what I want for the week. One of my favorites is the mini packages of Almonds, Cashews, and Dark Chocolate!
All the CHEESE- especially the Burratta and Mozzarella!
Mini Water bottles- These are usually at the front of the store by checkout, but they are the perfect size for kids. My friend Lindsay gave me the idea to just keep them in the car!
These last three items we use to make our favorite Bruschetta Burrata Salad! Be sure to watch the video below!!
Bruschetta Sauce- This stuff is SO flavorful. Use it in dips, salads, over chicken. But definitely make this salad below….
Burrata-It’s mozzarella cheese with a cream center…so flipping good.
Organic Arugula– I like having this to mix in with other greens!
Don’t forget to buy yourself some fresh flowers too!
And because I really love you….here’s a downloadable PDF of everything in a shopping list!
