This post is brought to you in partnership with Bolthouse Farms.
Celebrating the weekend {and wishing it was summer} with Very Berry Sorbet Yonanas! And YES, we’re serving it in sugar cones with sprinkles on top, by request of the little people! Bolthouse Farms sent me the cutest ice cream kit and a cooler full of fruit Smoothie drinks with the challenge to make a tasty summer treat, and I was ALL IN.
Give us all the frozen treats, all.summer.long! If summer will ever get here. Anyone else barely surviving the last couple weeks of school?
I got yonanas, or also called “nice cream” on my brain after seeing these Oatmeal Cookie Dough Nice Cream Sandwiches over at Nutrition Simply. I meaaaaaaan!!! Come on. Need that in my life asap. It’s essentially using frozen bananas as the base for ice cream. Guilt free and delicious.
So, to some frozen bananas I added fresh berries, a little Bolthouse Farms Berry Boost Smoothie, coconut milk (not from a can), and blended it all up. Then I just poured what looked like a smoothie into a loaf pan and let it freeze. Voila. Berry Sorbet Yonanas.
Kids eating ice creaming–maybe my favorite thing ever. Little Naomi in the middle is my spirit animal. Get it guuuurl.
Happy weekend, and happy almost summer!
Very Berry Sorbet Yonanas
Ingredients
3 frozen bananas, sliced into thin rounds
1 cup berries (i used raspberries) + a few extra for topping
2/3 cup Bolthouse Farms Berry Boost Fruit Smoothie
1/2 cup coconut milk (regular milk or heavy cream okay too)
Instructions
Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a 9X9 inch loaf pan, place a few fresh berries on top then place in the freezer to freeze.
Once ready to serve, you may need to set it out on the counter for a bit until it's soft enough to scoop (or run your scooper under hot water).
Cones and sprinkles a must for the kids, duh 😉
