Simple back to school brunch for mamas with Jamba Juice!
Hallelujah for back to school! My boys have been in school for two weeks now and let me tell ya, life is busy, but we, OKAY maybe just I, LOVE the routine and schedule! I wanted to host a simple moms brunch once school started, you know, to celebrate our few hours of freedom every day ๐ I love entertaining and even though our tiny house doesn’t always accomodate, we luckily have enough space in our backyard to entertain a few guests!
My local Jamba Juice offered to cater the brunch and it couldn’t have been an easier way to go! The weather’s still pretty warm here, so having a spread of smoothies, acai bowls and fresh-squeezed juices to keep us cool was perfect.
Plus, smoothies are my jam this pregnancy. Can’t get enough of them!
I think the reason I love hosting and entertaining is I really just love connecting with people. So having a brunch to bring together moms to take a break from our usual daily routines, just enjoy each other’s company and connect, was so much fun! I wish I could do it every month! Ladies who Lunch anyone?
I have this favorite little book of mine, “Everything I Need to Know I Learned from a Little Golden Book” by Diane Mudlrow. It shares some of the cutest nuggets of wisdom and reminders on how to live your best life. One of my favorite lines is”Be open to making new friends….even if your very, very shy.” I’m not necessarily shy, but I love the reminder to be open to making new friends. Sometimes we are closed off without even meaning to be, just because we already have friends.
So I have no problem bringing a group of women together who may not all know each other to get to know each other! Someone might just make a new friend they really needed!
Using Jamba Juice Catering couldn’t have been easier!
Jamba Juice brought a variety of smoothies, two different kinds of juices, and all the fixings and toppings for a tasty Acai + Pitaya bowl bar. The acai and pitaya bowls were a huge hit. As well as the Cookies and Cream Protein Smoothie. That thing is a serious treat!
The only thing I added was some fresh blueberry muffins just because I wanted to add my own touch! And I had time to make them because I wasn’t making a bajillion other things for the brunch. They were a big hit with the kiddos!
Jamba Juice delivered everything 15 minutes before the brunch started, set-up was quick, and clean-up was a breeze. It really was just too easy! So if you’re looking for a different menu for your next work meeting, brunch or party, keep Jamba in mind!
I knew a few moms would have littles with them, so I laid out my first generations Gathre Mat (back when they were Let’s Playground”) and set out some toys and books for them to play with!
My side kick. Eating bubble tape > smoothies and acai bowls ๐
Thanks so much to Jamba Juice for making this back to school brunch with some mama friends so easy and effortless!
