Rich chocolate fudge made with your favorite candy bars! A perfect way to use up your Halloween candy bars!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! We took the boys to our neighborhood trunk-or-treat then let Owen knock on a few doors to do some real trick-or-treating. Miles followed Owen along and got the hang of it pretty quickly. We also froze our tooshies off, but it didn’t deter the kiddos. Owen, the Incredible Hulk, and Miles, our little Purple Minion managed to come home with more candy than we knew (and still don’t know) what do with!
For the record–I want Miles to dress like a Purple Minion every single day.
So…Halloween candy. What do you do with all of it? Does the Halloween Fairy come and take it all and leave a toy in its’ place? Do your kids get a few days of free-for-all? Do YOU get a few days of free-for-all? My kids kind of forget about all the candy and only occasionally ask for a piece, so I don’t feel like I need to get rid of all it right away. But they scored so much that I had to do something with it.
Over the weekend I decided to take some of the candy {ahem, the chocolate} and melt it all together to make fudge. Chocolate candy bars + sweetened condensed milk, melted together to make super rich, chocolate fudge.
You can use whatever kind of candy bars you’d like for this fudge. Use all of the same one or a variety. I used pretty much every mini chocolate candy bar we had- Reese’s, Snickers, Whoppers, Kit-Kats, M&M’s, Almond Joys.
If you use a variety of candy bars you’ll get fun surprises with every bite. Crispy, crunchy, a little nutty. Bits of chewy caramel. Crispy nouget. And every bite is different. It’s kind of fun to eat and guess which candy bar(s) you’re getting in each piece of fudge.
And I will say using any candy bar with peanut butter is an absolute must!!
- 40-45 fun size chocolate candy bars, any variety
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- In a medium sauce pan, melt chocoalte candy bars over low heat. Once almost melted stir in sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat and pour into a bread pan lined with parchment. Chill for 2 hours. Cut into squares and serve.

Just to clarify you say “miniatures” but your photos look like fun sized. There are miniatures that are much smaller. Which size did you use to get the right balance? Looks like a fun way to utilize some 50% off sales if you don’t have a stash at home. Thanks for the recipe!!

I have leftover Hershey bars from a camping trip. For a 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk, does anyone have any idea how many of those 1.55 oz bars I would need to us to make easy fudge?
