BBQ Chicken French Bread Pizza-Quick Easy Dinner!
It’s all we really want right? Quick easy dinners that everyone in the family will actually eat! We win some and we lose some, but this BBQ Chicken French Bread Pizza is always a winner! It’s quickly become a go-to for dinner at our house. I completely forgot about how much my kiddos love it and how easy they are. I mean, who doesn’t love carbs and cheese!
You can easily feed an army with these and customize them to everyone’s favorite toppings (if BBQ Chicken isn’t what everyone wants!) What I like to do is buy one loaf of whole wheat french bread and make two different types of pizza out of each half. Always one BBQ Chicken and usually one plain old Pepperoni for the littles.
Keep it Quick! How to make the chicken!
For the BBQ Chicken French Bread Pizzas I like to make the BBQ chicken using a rotisserie chicken plus bbq sauce, make BBQ Chicken in the instant pot (easy instructions below), or use the canned chicken from costco and add sauce to it! All are options that taste good and keep your cook time quick!
My kids like the BBQ Chicken Pizzas plain, with no extra toppings. But Brett and I love adding a little cilantro, avocado slices, and a drizzle of the Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Dressing! After you bake your french bread pizzas in the oven, slice them up and serve with a big green side salad!

BBQ CHICKEN FRENCH BREAD PIZZA
- 1 loaf french bread
- 3 cups shredded chicken (I use rotisserie)
- 1-2 cups BBQ sauce
- 3-4 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 avocado, diced
- Ranch dressing
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Toss the shredded chicken with 1 cup bbq sauce (use more or less if desired). Cut the french bread in half length-wise. Spread a thin layer of bbq sauce on each half of the bread. Top with mozzarella cheese (about 1 1/2 cups on each slice). Top with bbq chicken, onion and avocado (dividing evenly among each half).
- Broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese melted and bubbly. Sprinkle cilantro over the top and drizzle with Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Dressing. Cut into thin slices and serve!
Instant Pot Chicken:
add 5-6 chicken tenders (or 2 breasts) to your instant pot. season with salt, pepper, garlic and about 1/2 cup bbq sauce. close lid, set to seal (not venting) and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes. Remove chicken, shred, add back to sauce and stir to combine. add more bbq sauce if needed.
