I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend– the boys had the whole week off from school so we headed to Arizona for the week to spend time with family. Guys–I stayed up way too late, ate way too much sugar, and definitely didn’t drink enough water. So this week, I’m focusing on drinking lots of water, eating lots of fresh fruits and veggies, healthy carbs, and when I need something sweet I’m whipping up one of these Chocolate Peppermint Protein Smoothies!
Made with a little extra protein using Horizon Organic cottage cheese and low fat milk! It’s no secret my family loves Horizon Organic, from their dairy products to mac and cheese, and snacks, my kiddos love it all!

Chocolate Peppermint Protein Smoothie
6 0z Horizon Organic Low Fat Milk
1/4 cup Horizon Organic Cottage Cheese
1 frozen banana
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Just a couple drops of peppermint extract or peppermint essential oil (use to taste)
handful of ice
Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy!
Optional: add whipped cream and crushed candy cane (for kiddos)
